Sui adopts a unique model in which tokens are defined as independent “objects.” This allows ownership to be enforced more strictly at the code level and helps reduce common classes of vulnerabilities seen on other chains—such as reentrancy-related issues—while enabling safe and flexible token operations.
With the rollout of the new consensus protocol “Mysticeti” between 2024 and 2025, Sui achieved exceptionally fast finality—around 390–400 milliseconds. This enables highly responsive performance comparable to Web2 apps.
Sui natively implements “zkLogin,” which allows users to interact with the blockchain using existing accounts such as Google. This removes the need to manage complex seed phrases and makes the onboarding experience feel similar to using typical Web2 applications.
